The Birth of Moses

Exodus 2:1-25

By: Gabril Grayce Gaby Gandey

The book of Exodus tells of how the Israelites survived when they lived as slaves and how God led them out of the land of Egypt. This long story begins with Moses's story (Exodus 2:1-25). We will see how God led Moses from the time he was born until he was chosen by God to be the leader of the nation of Israel.

At that time, after the death of Joseph, a new king rose to rule the land of Egypt. Pharaoh then issued an order to his people to throw all the sons born to the Hebrews into the Nile because he saw that the Israelites had more numbers than the Egyptians. Then a boy was born and was hidden for three months. However, after three months, the baby's mother could no longer hide him anymore. And God took care of the baby so that when he was on the bank of the Nile, Pharaoh's daughter saw him and took him

The baby's sister offered to Pharaoh's daughter to find a nanny for the baby. And finally, the baby was raised and educated by his mother. He grew, and his mother brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, then became her son. And she called his name Moses. After Moses grew up, he lived in the palace. He visited his brothers who were in slavery. When Moses saw an Egyptian persecuting an Israelite, then Moses killed the Egyptian. And the news of this murder finally reached Pharaoh's ears he then looked for Moses and wanted to kill him. But with God's presence, Moses fled to the land of Midian. There Moses then married Zipporah, and a son was born to him, named Gershom. Long after that, the king of Egypt died, and through Moses, God delivered the Israelites from slavery in the land of Egypt.

PoV: From the story of Moses, we can see how God was with Moses since he was born. God also took care of the Israelites, as God had promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, so God took care of them. The same inclusion and attention God also gives to all of us. We can see it through how God has taken care of us until now.

In conclusion, God is now the same God when He led the Israelites back then. His love and promises are still the same and will never change forever. Keep believing and holding on to God.
