Every soul has been polluted by sin. Sin seems to paralyze our feet and hands. Sin also looks to be a disease that seems incurable. We have been separated from God by sin. God knows that our sinful soul longs for true healing. It's just that sometimes we don't know how to get that healing. Through the story of the leper and the lame teach us how to get true soul healing. Both the leper and the lame were desperate and lost hope of healing. However, when they heard about Jesus, their hope was revived. They both had a strong determination to meet Jesus. Even though there were so many challenges they had to face, their determination remained steadfast so that their faith grew in God. The faith they had eventually led them to meet Jesus. When He saw them, He fully understood their plight. Jesus knew the suffering they had been going through. Healing finally became their part after they met Jesus.

Sin makes us feel unworthy before God. This kind of thinking eventually leads us to walk further and further from God. God hates sin but loves sinners. Therefore, He was willing to sacrifice His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to redeem us. Just like the leper and the lame, we have all heard of Jesus. Not only that, we have even seen and felt there are so many miracles that God has given us. When we fall and lose hope, with determination and faith in God, let us come to meet God.

The burden of sin that we carry seems to lead us down a path of despair. Therefore, God gently calls us to meet Him personally, as it is written in Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Strengthen our determination and faith so that we can meet God and obtain true healing.
